Hello,
My team and I have been working with a lot with MIDI CC messages, using various devices to interactively control Resolume. When the activity of messages gets to some really active point we've been having issues including sluggishness, crashing, dropped messages, among others. We've enacted smoothing algorithms in MAX/MSP to filter the messages, which helps, but the question remains: Does Resolume actively limit the incoming MIDI messages in some way? Perhaps there's a bandwidth limiter or some ceiling for message frequency or activity? Any insight or tips would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Willie
MIDI Continuous Control Bandwidth ?
Re: MIDI Continuous Control Bandwidth ?
How many are you throwing out? Two midi controllers worth? Several hundred? Thousand?
I know Tippa was sending thousands of OSC messages to Resolume from touch and that caused some crashes.
