Advanced Layer router - mixer

Post by aeldryn »

Hello Resolume team,

I love the layer router...It would not be possible to build my setup without it. I use it in many layers like a matrix.

It would be great to have a advanced layer router that could mix two input layers. So there will be option to chose two different input layers and mix them with an slider with mix modes.

Is it possible to do that? I did not found any other way to do the trick. I use the layer router as an animated object in which I would like to mix the feedback content with camera picture or other source. The moment I got to this idea was, when i was switching between two layer routers with different sources in one layer using the transition automation. :) But that could not be stopped in middle.

Thanks

I'm curious to how i many people actually want this. Personally think it would cause a lot of mistakes if the UI isn't done perfectly.

This is our concern as well.

Adding one additional input to the layer router is only the first step, ideally you'd be able to make pre-mixes of all the layers. That would require an awful lot of control to be packed into a single clip tab.

Can you perhaps make a Photoshop mockup for what you have in mind?
