This map was done in mad mapper (I helped the vj and teched the system, didn't actually vj myself). The problem is that when the output is in its normal orientation but the video panels are rotated, to use output slicing rotation means either the slices overlap or the output sizing needs to be blown up a huge amount to avoid overlap. Input rotation would allow the content to be rotated while the output is in its normal orientation.
