That's a good suggestion and possibly a good solution.

The reason for mentioning the gotchas is not so much to make it a community effort or to ask you to help us solve them. It's more to explain that while we consider your ideas valid and worth executing, we are currently hesitant to implement them.

So I hope you don't mind that we don't continue this discussion. Rest assured that your comments have been noted and that we want this as much as you do.
