Connect artnet grandma on pc
Re: Connect artnet grandma on pc
I connected a GrandMA fullsize a couple of times with R3 and twice with R4 Arena. Works!
- Your GrandMA on PC PC has to be in the artnet ip range too. for example 10.0.0.11
- Deactivate your firewall on your resolume pc...just to make shure that this isn't the failreason.
- Activate DMX input in resolume and make shure that the in and out channels are set right of grandMA and resolume. For your first try you should deactivate DMX automap...then its easier to see if resolume receive anything.
- Map faders and buttons via DMX Mapping from the mapping menu.

Re: Connect artnet grandma on pc
What steps have you taken so far?
Re: Connect artnet grandma on pc
I have connected both computers (one PC and one MacBook Pro) with an ethernet cable.
IP address on PC is set up manually 192.168.1.1 and it has also a second IP 10.0.0.8 which is the Artnet IP.
IP on Mac is set to 10.0.0.3
On GrandMA OnPC 2 the Artnet Output is Active and it has "Local Start 1", "Amount 1", "ExternStarts 0" and
"Delay 0"
On Resolume Arena 4 the DMX settings are "DMX Input is activated Subnet - 1 and Input Port - 1
I tried to disactivate "DMX Auto Map" and patched few dimmer channels on the console but the Resolume is not communicating.
Any help will be appreciated
Thank you

Re: Connect artnet grandma on pc
Artet in resolume. should be subnet 0, input 0, for universe 1, unless you've assigned specific universe in MAonPC
Re: Connect artnet grandma on pc
Thank you for your fast replay
Still not working even with subnet 0, input 0

Re: Connect artnet grandma on pc
Have you tried using an network switch?
What is the 192.x.x.x address? Wired or Wireless?
on MBP
Resolume OFF
Wireless OFF
Artnet (ethernet) ON
Now, start Resolume and attempt artnet. Then you can turn wireless back on
Try using DMX Workshop to scan the network just in case
http://www.artisticlicence.com/index.ph ... &order_id=
Programs that use Artnet/Pathport/etc like to use NET0 as the interface for communication, which tend to be wireless on laptops, so you have to turn it off so it will use NET1 (wired port)
