Hello, Well I am far from the world of Vj's (colombian coast), I am the only VJ here. Have practcaly never seen other VJ's in action, so its very lonely in that aspect...and hard to know whats up, couple questions:
- If I want to do what I am doing with resolume, but for a pre-edited high quality controled video (not live) what program would I use? Are there programs that have these kinds of effects and blends (epceially the blends and keying) - maybe after effects?
- I am going to Europe in November and would like to vj some gigs, can anybody hook me up? Or let me know of some festivals, how to apply?
(my mix consits of all original footage from the colombian coast)
-I am making a VJ demo - I have 4 avis have been created with resolume, should I put them onto some sort of platform created in flash or director - is it worth it or are the avis's going to loose quality....what do VJ's do for demos???
(I cant even see any of the online demos from here because the badwith is too low)....

the easy question to answer is:
"what program would I use?" After Effects (AE) is the animal to dive into... I create most of my vj media in AE and do a lot of full rez media work to help bring in extra income. It would be worth the time and investment to learn it and add it to your tools. the learning curve is steeper than resolume, but once you get the basic princibles down, you will be amazed at what you can create!

En primer lugar decirte que para un acabado profesional de tu video o demo deberÃas utilizar un programa de edición de video como Adobe Premiere, Dv studio, SpeedRazor o similar, son programas sencillos que contiene todo lo que buscas y mucho mas.
- En cuanto a tu visita a Europa decirte que noviembre no son fechas de festivales aquà (ya que es invierno) pero siempre hay actuaciones y discotecas. ¿A qué paÃs tienes pensado viajar?
-Finalmente, en cuanto al producto final, no lo exportes a flash ni director, si es para resolume lo ideal es lo que no hace mas que repetirse en este foro y es que lo transformes con un programa de edición con un buen codec (depende de tu vÃdeo el codec a utilizar) suelen recomendar el cinepak, pero hay otros, depende de las imágenes a tratar...
Si el producto final es una demo, tienes que buscar siempre la máxima calidad y te recomiendo que hagas un DVD. Con un programa de auditorÃa (p.ej. Adobe Encore) puedes crear tu propio DVD con menús navegables y con un acabado profesional. Puedes añadir una pantalla con tus datos personales y profesionales, todos tus vÃdeos por capÃtulos, añadir música....y lo más importante es que es muy sencillo de utilizar.
