Hello Resolume gurus...
I'm having trouble using the latest version of Resolume Avenue with Waveclock (http://wavesum.net) for BPM sync. I've installed Waveclock successfully using the MIDI audio setup window (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgFA_fdup7g#t=95) and I've gotten Resolume to successfully sync to Waveclock's BMP signal (i.e., after ticking the "Clock Input" box within the MIDI Preferences, Resolume's blue "MIDI Clock Indicator" flashes and Resolume's BPM Clock successfully tracks the music). But when individual clips are set to "BPM Sync" and I try to play them, only the first selected clip plays. Clicking any other clip has no affect, and the blue bar in the newly selected clip window stays solid and never "counts down" from four beats to zero. By contrast, when I turn off the MIDI sync/Waveclock input, all "BPM Sync" clips play as they should, waiting until the next downbeat to start playback.
Am I missing something with this setup? Waveclock seems to offer so much, but if clips can't even be played in BPM mode, what's the point? Thanks to anyone who can help me out!!!
-Brian
Problems using WaveClock with Resolume Avenue 4.1.8
Re: Problems using WaveClock with Resolume Avenue 4.1.8
If you activate the Midi Clock input in Resolume *after* Waveclock is already running, it hasn't received the Clock Start signal. This means that as far as Resolume is concerned, the BPM is changing, but the clock is not actually running.
You can tell Waveclock to send the Clock Start again, either by restarting Waveclock or forcing a 'Stop on Silence' and then turning the music back on.

Ahah! That solved the problem. Simply re-starting Waveclock, with all the settings still set in Resolume, solved the problem. I'm glad that was a simple fix (I was really starting to go crazy with this one).
Thanks a lot, Joris!

Re: Problems using WaveClock with Resolume Avenue 4.1.8
I would like to try WaveClock on windows.
As far as my supidity tells me, I don´t need any special hardware, right?
I play some music, waveclock will listen to it, it will give me the bpm and then Resolume can read from it and I can use that audio bmp directly on Resolume. Is that correct?
I downloaded Waveclock and started it. But in Resolume´s MIDI preferences, there´s no "start clock" option avalable. Just Midi Output.
What´s wrong? Should I install any drivers before using this?
thanks
Paulo

If you check the FAQ on Wavesum's site, you can find a video that shows how to setup Waveclock to send Midi Clock. Here's the description of that video:
Does that help you get started? To make Waveclock work, a MIDI output is needed. Usually we want to route MIDI within the same machine. Here we show how to create IAC bus for MIDI loopback.
If you need to do same thing on Windows, try the LoopBe1 MIDI driver from nerds.de: http://www.nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html

Yes, I´ve been thru that already. I was willing for a confirmation I was on the right path.
Thank you!
