Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
I like to map the same objects different ways and be able to use different slices for each section of what I am mapping onto, but also make one slice play through the whole "stage" so i start by cropping out a main slice in the desired areas, and then building slices as well for each of the surfaces that i have already cropped and making sure the layers are in the proper order for this working the advanced output window. It works up until this release. The problem is, no matter what slice i crop, i can't put another slice over it. What am I missing? I opened the same composition and advanced output preset in 4.1.8 and in 4.1.9 and it just doesn't work in the new update. I even tried to build from scratch. Is there just something simple I am missing? I will upload a video if this seems to confusing as i am having a hard time trying to explain what I'm talking about.

Here is a little video showing the problem.

Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Thanks for the video, Weezhum.
When trying to recreate, it looks like the stacking order is reversed on 4.1.9. Meaning the slice on top of the stack is rendered beneath the others. The slice on the bottom is rendered on top.
Is this the same behaviour as you are observing?

Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Yes, which makes the work flow I have developed in trying to utilize the advanced output portion of the program to its maximum potential, i impossible now because of the new stacking order! Thanks for your prompt response you guys are always so helpful.
Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Thanks for confirming. We'll get a fix out as soon we can.
In the meantime, it should just be a matter of reversing the stacking order to get the old behaviour. Or just hold off on using 4.1.9 until we get the fix out of course

Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Thanks! I couldn't achieve the same results when trying to reverse the layer orders. I will stick to 4.1.8 for now but I really do love all the new stuff on 4.1.9. So when is 5 coming out? hahahha. joking. kind of.
Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Had the same problem as weez. I reversed the order of slices which at first I thought had fixed the problem but then I noticed my override layer (6) which is slice specific and now sitting at the bottom of the stack of slices was always on. Opacity fader wont fade in or out. The only way to show the rest of the comp is to remove any clip layer 6
Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
Im excited to have this fixed because i love all of the new features.
Re: Advanced out put problems on 4.1.9
This is now fixed with the 4.1.10 release.
