think I found a repeatable bug,
yesterday at a gig had 4.1.10 crash twice, both times while resizing a clip with a midi controller
backed out to 4.1.8 and the rest of the show went smooth
crash when resizing clips
Re: crash when resizing clips
- What filetypes where inside your deck?
- Did this only happens with the same type of file?
- What's the resolution of the scaled clip?
- What's the codec of the scaled clip?
- How many clips are in your deck?
- In which phase of scaling happened the crash (while gentle small scaling changes or fast and huge scaling)
- Did you only played back the clip which you scaled ..or.. where there also other clips playing in background?
- ...
- ...
When you say that you had found a "repeatable bug" you have to describe the situation and your steps to cause the crash very clearly. Otherwise nobody can recreate this issue...and...nobody can help you.

Re: crash when resizing clips
Aside from Cosmowe's suggestions, I'd also very much advise to use version 4.1.11, which has some critical fixes relating to DXV decoding and playback.
It's very likely your problem is not related to midi or scaling at all, but to this decoding bug.

I only attempted twice before I backed out to 4.1.8 (live situation)
- What's the resolution of the scaled clip?
1280x720 being scaled to 1920x1080
- What's the codec of the scaled clip?
dxv
- How many clips are in your deck?
never more than 60
- In which phase of scaling happened the crash (while gentle small scaling changes or fast and huge scaling)
happened twice after scaling five or six clips in a layer while the first clip in the row was playing
- Did you only played back the clip which you scaled ..or.. where there also other clips playing in background?
