"Ignore people who are rude to you - most resolume users are nice people who will be happy to help you get it working right."
works both ways though....
but to get to the point,
i never had problems with resolume either.
if u have speed problems be sure to keep your HD defragged and close all other applications, scan for spyware and ctrl+alt+del all not nesecary processes.
but can u plz post more specs about your rig?
that way we can try to help you because every situation has its own bottlenecks...
Greetz,
SuperficiaL
performance sucks
ok all true ...for now it works perfectly speed wise compression on indeo 5.01 is the best image quality as far as I can see , better that cinepak...but unfortunately there are some problems with screen output , dv max doesn't work , I tried all possible combinatin in screen settings and it doesn't work , am using a Matrox 550 ..any suggestions??
also JPEGS seem to confuse resolume a little , sometimes the bottom end of the effect palette disappears and only half of the effects are left till I take the jpeg of even some avies out ??? any idea about that, appart from that and a few lttle glitches res2.0 has elevated itself and me 2 a nu level , fanx....

If Otto apllys the same toughtfulness to maintening his system and hardwere, he probably has a general performance issue, ive seen it happen. Otto try seting colur depth of your screens to 16 bit 32 bit can realy mess the framrete, i dont know what is the issue with colour depth in 2.0 but it was a big thing on my comp and a jear ago it was best spec. I noticed a check box for colur depth in 2.0 but my trial period ran out before i got round to play with that.

simply said the best setup should be like this.
set all your screens connected to your comp to 16 bit.
this will get you an overall performance gain, even windows itself could run faster.
Then in resolume set your output window to fullscreen on your second monitor (process res 320x240 and scale to 800x600). this strecthing will get you a nicer image. The choices of bitdepth in the screen setup window only make sense on fullscreen windows. When directx sets you screen to fulsscreen in can change the resolution and bitdepth. So in this way you can have all your screens set to 16 bit but if wou wish to have your output in 32 bit you set it like that.
If you have a slower machine you could allways choose to disable the preview window in the main interface.
DvdMax isn't working in the release we made, theatre mode is working (ati cards). We fixed the DVDMax again. We hope we can release a new version soon.
