Lemur Setup

Post by hive8 »

Anyone has some experience in setting up the lemur iPad with resolume on PC. I have TouchOSC working fine, but seem not to get anything from the lemur. I have the lemur editor connected and can send changes to the layout without a problem.

I have set the settings the same as with TouchOSC but not sure what i have to add to the custom address
Settings just for a simple fader with opacity

/layer1/video/opacity/ <- is this correct or do i need to add something else here.
custom address checked
Scale 0 to 1 checked

resolume has OSC
Incoming Port : 8000
Outgoing Port: 8001
Send to address iPads IP, Bundles checked

Lemur iPad has OSC Target:
Host IP of my local computer Port : 8001
Lemur IP cant change its set by the software, looks like the iPad IP address with port 8000

The OSC command should be [/layer1/video/opacity/values] or [/activelayer/video/opacity/values] with a float value from 0.0 - 1.0

Also it sounds like if the Lemur iPad has OSC Target:Host IP of my local computer Port : 8001, you might need to switch your incoming port to 8001 on Resolume.

OK this is strange i need to set all ports to 8000 then i have bidirectional communication... Is there any disadvantage to doing that so.

No I meant you might need to switch your outgoing/incoming ports but first I'd try the following OSC string:

/layer1/video/opacity/values

OK got it all working now, the string works, only thing i had to do incoming and outgoing ports are the same all on 8000, not sure if it affects anything or if there is a disadvantage of using the same port for incoming and outgoing.

Thank you for helping me out :)

He2neg, I had a hard time finding it as well when I needed so I uploaded a zipped folder with the app inside it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2Lh5 ... authuser=0

All you have to do is download and expand but let me know if this doesn't work for you.
