MB (before) GB (after)

Post by TheSoldier »

So I had a 400+ MB video. Then I converted it using MPEG Streamclip with DXV compressor, 100 Quality, Uncompressed Audio and with the Same resolution (I leave the others at default). After converting, the .mov file with DXV is like almost 4+GB. Is it normal? and what is the maximum file size resolume can handle?

Let me use the forum search function for you ;)

My biggest file so far was a 22GB DXV file. I would guess that Resolume can handle any file size your filesystem offers you...as far as you use DXV. DXV files are not pre-stored completely inside your RAM....only the first frame to guarantee an instant start.

Max. filesize:
FAT16 >> 2GB
FAT32 >> 4GB
exFAT >> 16EB
NTFS >> 16TB
HFS+ >> 8EB

P.S.:
Inside the DXV encoding settings only the point "resolution", "alpha" and "audiosettings" will have an effect on the result. You can put the quality to 0%....with no effect.
