Hello,
im new in Resolume , and into projection mapping. have a few questions :
1.trying to control Resolume via an android tablet.
-How to change screen presets ive created ? is there an OSC command for that ?
-Is there a list of OSC commands for Resolume?
-What apps do you recommend on in order to create OSC layouts on an android tablet ?
-Is there a way to see the OSC messages actually arrive to Resolume ?
is there an OSC control option for deck / layer structure ? what are the OSC messages for that ?
2.Can you give guidelines and tips in order to create the following projection mapping and control it.
see this link :
Many thanks.

Re: OSC
hi,
- screen preets in advanced output can not be changed via OSC,you could try a remote desktop app to connect to your computer.
- go to Mappinng, Edit Application OSC Map, you can select elements on the screen and see the osc address for that element. A I don't know of a full list of osc commands, but it would be handy.
- I only use simple button style android osc programs but others do complex stuff maybe someone can help you better with this.
- Some OSC commands generate feedback like /track1/connect, you can see the output message in Edit Application OSC Map

2.
you could do that with some layers routed to slices , one for every chair.
then assign osc messages to launch the clips in a layer,
the clips would have the solid colors,
you can create layer masks either with buil in effects, or pre created png images.

Re: OSC
The list of OSC commands for Resolume is each and every item in the interface
You can see the address for everything by going into Application OSC map and clicking the item you want to control. The address will appear in the bottom left, ready for copypasta goodness.
Note that some elements can be controlled absolutely ( deck focus ) or contextually ( layer focus ). For more info on this, check the Controlling Resolume chapter of the manual.

Thank you ravensc - i will try it.
if i understood correctly - the slices location and size isnt changing, the only thing that changes is the layers inside the slices - and can be controlled via OSC.
But what happens in case that the slices need to change locations and size,
can it be done ? or it cant be done because it will require an output preset change?
if it can be done and controlled - are there any new guidelines ?
Re: OSC
If your slice needs to change position, simply use another layer and another slice for it.
It's much clearer to structure this using your deck / layers, because you have a better overview of what you're doing during the performance.
People that are new to Resolume often jump too much to the advanced output window, while they skip the basics of composing and layering in the composition.

You can use another layer with slice, as Joris said if your object is stationary, if you want to follow it with the projection then you can position/resize clips individually, and use pngs as layer/clip mask.ia_85 wrote: But what happens in case that the slices need to change locations and size,

Then you can control the position via OSC.
There are crop, keystone crop, keystone effects in the buil in effect list, so you can achieve mapping even in Avenue with some workarounds. You can change the order of effects, mask, and transform to fit your needs.
So you can have a clip with some masks for one position in layer1 and another clip with another mask and position in the same layer without having to use advanced output.
You see, there are quite a few possibilities to get that look.
