Hey guys,
i want to have this http://haxiomic.github.io/GPU-Fluid-Experiments/html5/ somehow as a source in resolume.
so is there any possibility to get a part of the screen (possibly second screen) as source? would it be possible to have the fluid thingy run on a second machine (laptop e.g.) and have it being captured by resolume (possibly without buying expensive stuff like a capture card)
thanks in advance,

Re: desktop as source for resolume
maybe you can try with a Virtuall Webcam Source ( freeware is Manycam for Example)
You can chose a part on your desktop as the Webcam source...
Yes it Work !!!
Screenshot attached... if the Resolution and /or the quality is good enough you have to test yourselfe
Looking forward to your results.
And maybe you want to have this as well :

If you are a mac user, you could use Syphoner (http://syphoner.sigma6.ch/) which lets you bring any open window via Syphon.

or you can use VDMX to capture windows, then syphon it in.
Re: desktop as source for resolume
I installed ManyCam but couldn´t find where to tell it to grab not only my desktop as source, but a specific application window. I was trying it out and already got several crashes.
Could you give us a tip?
tks

just click one of the "empty" spots next to your webcam picture... ( grey with a + in the middel) there you can chose what source you want to have there...

Re: desktop as source for resolume
there is a software called airparrot which can stream your desktop or selected windows like a syphon source. it can be install to a windows platform as well.
and in the other side there is an app called airserver which can catch any syphon source via the local network so you can stream any computer desktop and feed it to resolume with this two beauty.

Never worked to me. And/or crash.He2neg wrote:just click one of the "empty" spots next to your webcam picture... ( grey with a + in the middel) there you can chose what source you want to have there...
Giving up on this one.
Re: desktop as source for resolume
I just installed and older version on which I could use properly, meaning I can select the input.
But it works the same as every other virtual webcam packages: it grabs all layers, menaing that it won´t capture only the desired application window, but evertything (all aplications) that get over that selected window area.
This is no good.
thanks
