Thinking out loud: What if you force your buttons to send CCs, and then limit the in and out points in Resolume?

You could create a controller using http://vezerapp.hu/ on a Mac and control Resolume on either a PC or Mac via ethernet or WIFI the way vjcharm wants to by keying CC values.

You'd have to select the no-interpolation mode between keyframes to go from value to value without getting the in-between values.
