Another GIG and Arena crashed on me several times in a row.
Middle of the night, a Dell i7 8GB ram 2GB Radeon video and 480 SSD HD running win8 and Arena 4.1.11;
04 layers; all dxv clips, no effects whatsoever;
Suddenly, a windows pop up message " Arena Stopped Working", or something like this.
Oh, a crash. Re opened Arena as quickly as I could. A few seconds... a new crash. Done that for almost 5 times.
A few seconds after running, crashes. No visuals on screen at all.
With "my game" already lost, decided to boot the system.
Loaded Arena and the same thing. A couple of more crashes.
The only thing I could think of was to unplug audio input cabling, so I was using FFT external audio to control layering opacity.
I don´t know if that was just a coincidence, but it got stable, using the mic audio input instead of the line in.
No more crashes after that.

Resolume Crashing
Re: Resolume Crashing
Are you using the audio input on your motherboard or a pcie audio card?
Re: Resolume Crashing
My notebook has a multitask p2 connector that allows me to set what I am doing, input or output.Oaktown wrote:Are you using the audio input on your motherboard or a pcie audio card?
So, everytime I connect a new p2 device, it asks me if it is a headphone or line in.
Re: Resolume Crashing
Could you send us your log files, Pfelberg?
Re: Resolume Crashing
Gonna look after them and send it right away.
Re: Resolume Crashing
I had crashing issues with such audio input on laptop.
it automatically changed from speaker to headphone when plugged in,
and as soon as the type changed, the driver killed the other interface, and because resolume gets the sync from the audio device, it crashed.
Solution for me was, I changed my audio driver to another where I have separate headphone and speaker interface all the time.
So maybe you have a contact problem on your input jack?

Re: Resolume Crashing
perhaps.
as it is a new laptop to me, I am still getting used to it.
never had a multitask jacket before.
