Resolume crashed randomly

Post by dun_panic »

Hye all, just to share some tips. In my recent event, the arena crashed so many time. i nearly give up on that :D
After i deleted a few layers n columns, it back to normal.. Turn out that the arena cant handle more than 22 layers and 300+ columns of 1920x1080 resolutions ;) . My mac spec is i7 3.5ghz, 512 ssd ,16gb ram , korg nano midi controller and blackmagic ultrastudio express. Or perhaps i need more ram? idk..

yes this is a known thing, and it has to do with number of clips rather than layer s or column number.

I think this is mentioned even in the manual.

You could also divide your composition in several decks and that will more than likely keep Resolume from crashing.

Keep in mind that you can change decks without affecting your current clips. That means you could split your decks so that you can change decks during a long(er) sequence.
