hi
i hav a question:
how to map different led walls using advanced output settings...
led walls mapping
Re: led walls mapping
This would be done as if you where using multiple projectors. The only difference is you might have to tell your computer to use a certain resolution and refresh rate.
Re: led walls mapping
thanx DayVeeJay for your replay....
i am new to resolume arena n video mapping also....
my club got two different leds walls
1st one is a huge wall behind the dj console
2nd one is rectangular in size in front of the dj console
both r connected to individual video processors n connected to a video splitter...
so wat ever content we play it plays in both the screens...
now my question is if i want to run different content in each led wall wat should i do....?
like the main visual content of the big led wall n djs, clubs logos n promotional pics on the other wall
how should i map it in resolume as i only have one output option....?

Re: led walls mapping
A few questions:
Are your screens able to display different content?
What's the overall layout and what are the resolutions of each screens?
What's the resolution of your overall output in resolume?
Can you attach your advanced output XML file?

Re: led walls mapping
I would bypass the splitter and connect each LED processor to a separate output from your computer. Play around with that setup for a little bit and see how it goes.
Re: led walls mapping
thank you so much for ur replays....
@ Oaktown
wat ever content i play that only plays in both the screens...
its a large led screen 20*32 size which is at the back of the dj console n 8*12 is in front of the dj console...
when ever i try to map different layer in resolume the problem is which ever layer i select i can always see the main output video in all the layers....
can somebody help me the step by step process of mapping the led walls....

Re: led walls mapping
it sounds like your two walls are getting the same signal from the splitter so do what DayVeeJay suggested and you should be on your way.

Re: led walls mapping
You could add a Matrox DualHead2Go. What kind of Mac do you have?but my problem is that i dont hav to outputs from may mac.....
You mean more than two outputs, correct? You can assign each layer to a slice but at the essense, Resolume is a composition software that lets you blend multiple layers together into one or several outputs that you can adjust independently so take a look at the manual and especially this section (http://resolume.com/manual/en/r4/output) which I believe will answer a lot of your questions.and in future if i hav to display more than 2 layers how can i do it....

Re: led walls mapping
Greetings,
Best bet is that your led screen processors have the ability to take a particular section of your single output...you can use the splitter but in your output it would be 2 slices -
Say your led screen is 1280 x 720 pixels and your dj face is 1024 x 320
So your composition would be 1280 x 1040
thus, in your led screen processor the first one would read from 0,0 and the 2nd one from 720,0
I have done this already, so it can be done pretty easily, just have to know the software for the processors or if they use a switcher/scaler in it
My 2 cents
