I upgraded to Resolume 4.1.11, and had the bad surprise to find out that 90% of my hundreds of clips can't be imported anymore.
I slowly built this library over the years, and they worked perfectly with the older version. They're mostly low-res and very short (pixel art), so I think that's the problem, as only the largest ones (more than 5MB) can be added. It's enraging since they worked perfectly fine in the previous version and it seems to come from an arbitrary rule.
I got a gig on Saturday and I'd really like to have it sorted out by then. I'm thinking of somehow finding an older version because of this stupid issue.
Is there anything I can do to import them? Any setting to change? Any hack? I know if I manually reconvert the clips to an artificially inflated resolution it works, but it's dumb as fuck, not to mention a huge amount of work.
Can't import 90% of my clips since upgrading to 4.
Re: Can't import 90% of my clips since upgrading to 4.
Which codec are you using for these clips? Which version of Resolume were you using before?
Re: Can't import 90% of my clips since upgrading to 4.
They're all in DXV. The problem is with the size, it will refuse anything below a certain filesize, which forces me to artificially inflate the resolution to ridiculous levels. I'm using the dxv version that came with Resolume. I open my clips with quicktime pro and export them into dxv.
* native resolution: NOPE
* 1080p: NOPE
* 2800px x 2800px: ....works perfectly fine because the filesize is above 5MB
Any tip to get Resolume to handle very short loops, other than converting them to 2800 x 2800 dxv video? What other formats than DXV can resolume handle?
I don't remember what version I used before, it was on a computer I lost. 4 something for sure. And also sure the exact same clips I can't import now were working perfectly.
I guess I'll just spend my night reconverting all my clips to ridiculously high resolution -___-

Can you send us one of these clips?
Re: Can't import 90% of my clips since upgrading to 4.
Really, we'd love to see one of these clips, because this sounds very unusual. You can send them to mail@resolume.com

Oddly enough is suddenly started working on Saturday afternoon while I was in the middle of converting my clips. All my old clips that weren't recognized before suddenly started having a thumbnail.
I checked twice and it is the same files, I haven't moved them, I haven't reinstalled any codec or any version of resolume. The little alpha channel dropdown for clips with transparency also appeared again. The only particular thing that happened is that the encoder crashed at some point while converting a long clip to DXV.
It's really odd (but fortunate), and I have no explanation. I'd say, possibly the DXV decoder was fucked up for whatever reason and somehow fixed itself after crashing.
Thanks a lot for your support!
