Hello!
First of all kudos to your work, you produce excellent tools. Ive only had limited time to use Arena but I have been thoroughly impressed by it.
I use primarily my own clips as material and wanted to inquire whether it would be possible to achieve a certain result. For clarity, I will take a clip of a straight line as an example that I would like to be modulated by incoming audio, i.e. line is straight when there is no kick and gets modulated when the kick hits.
How I thought this could be done is by rendering a clip where in the beginning the line is straight and in the end it is distorted\twisted and then have the transport (location) of the kick modulated by incoming audio. The louder the incoming kick would be, the further the transport location would move and therefore the more it would distort the line.
However, the audio input for the transport of the clip does not seem to be an available feature. I know the line could be distorted by effects that can be linked to audio input, but as I said the line is just an example and I have tons of ideas that would relate to a similar mechanic based on the location of clip sequences.
I can elaborate if this turned out to be confusing, which it might.
Can anyone shed some light as to how this kind of an effect would be created?
Automating clip transport from audio input.
