Hello!
I bumped into something weird going on with After Effects and the DXV codec.
I'm rendering really large clips for a VJ mapping (resolution: 4372 by 3596)
and I can play them in Quicktime (7) and Resolume only when I import them back into AE the clips are transperant... it doesn't matter if I render with or without alfa, it seems to be the size that is causing it.
HD & lower resolutions I render Ae can import and use as usual...
I've tried it on my other mac, same problem. Tried it in After Effects 2014, CC, CS4, same problem, only on the PC it does seem to work...
Can anyone recreate this problem, or suggest a sollution?
Thanks a buncha!

Can you import content at that resolution in another codec?

Well, it looks like there is a problem with such big textures, DXV and AE on the Mac then.
We'll look into it, but it could be a while until we can come out with a fix. Maybe you can render to a different codec for your intermediate renders, and only render the performance clips to DXV? That would be better for the quality anyway, since DXV is not lossless.

Yes I've been doing that, only the downside is that I wanted to use my footage in Resolume and in AE without having to render things twice... Thanks for looking into it, no hurry just good to know.
Just curious, did you have the same problem rendering something that resolution on a mac and importing it back into Ae?
