solid color effect wierdness

I have a solid color effect on the composition level. Normally, the hue setting has red on each end with the rest of the spectrum between. In the new release, however, I have red on the left as normal, but it only makes it to pink on the right... if that makes any sense

Ah yes, it makes it to red as usual but then jumps to pink when the value reaches exactly 1.0.
