Remember already used parameter settings

Post by Zoltán »

I found that with audio fft automation, when I change the parameters fft source, the fft range, gain, fall etc I have set up are reset, all except the value range.
Another example: I set the transport/rotateX of a clip to timeline, set the speed to 1,5, and set it to bounce back and forth, then change that to bpm sync, set the beat number to 2.
Now when I switch between the two, the speed, and beat number are reset to default on every change, bounce is remembered.

And I think this is true generally for every parameter that a clip or effect etc has, some are reset, some not.
I think it would be very nice, that If I have set up a parameter in a way, then change it to something else(not the value, but the method/source) and decide that the previous way was better, then I could simply revert to the other setting by selecting it again , and all my parameters for that setting would be in place.
And I don't mean undo.
What I mean is to store the settings in the xml of the clip and when selecting another it would just need a flag for which one is used. This way all the things could be stored in the composition file, and copy-pasted.

Hope I could explain what I mean :)
