Output about

Post by iRomeo »

Hei there, I'm a newbie in Resolume, anyway I've not understood yet how can I transpose my output video to another screen continuing to have the whole resolume's console for mixing. Now i can only show something puttin it in fullscreen from my mac. But i want to mix meanwhile! So what I've to do? I've looked for some setting about that in the whole prog but I've found none, neither the output settings work.
P.s. anyway, when i put some recorded videos in fullscreen directly from my mac the menu bar remains above, how can I make it vanish?

First you need to make sure you have 2 screen ouputs from your computer, one to show the interface, the second to display the fullscreen video output. Then select Fullscreen -> Display 2 from the Output menu and off you go!

I've a macbook 5.1 (2.4ghz,2gb) with just one miniport to connect, with the adapter, one vga input, how can make two outputs? If I've understood i need two screens: one, like a projector, for the output video, and one for another screen just for the interface? I thought I could keep it just on mac's screen.
Anyway, if not, and if I only have to select display 2 as the video output, it doesn't work. Or better, I get a window with the output, but i cannot use the interface (and the menu bar is still visible).
Thanks beforetime

Perhaps you are still in mirror mode?

Make sure your external monitor (or projector, same thing really) is detected, and you have turned off mirroring (system preferences -> displays). You should now see different outputs on both screens.

Make sure your laptops monitor is the primary one (with the dock and menu bar in it )

Then launch Resolume. When you then go Output -> Fullscreen -> Display 2, things *should* work as expected. If not, could you please describe the steps you're taking, and what result you're getting?

yay, it was so silly. I had the screen duplication activated, and it was all.
Ok, thanks to both of you.

If you are still showing the menu bar on your output screen... I had this issue.
Go to system preferences in your OS, and then "Mission Control" Un-tick the box " displays have separate spaces" and then restart resolume.
hope this helps
