Hey. I wonder if anyone has experienced using FAAST (Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit) with Resolume to use gestures and control the keyboards with kinect
I tried it but apparently the Resolume does not receive the information sent by FAAST. I mapped the keyboard to play and stop functions with the keys z / x.
The FAAST has to press this key gestures and indeed it does. But it doesnt works in Resolume funtions.
Someone has tested it?
Thank you. Sorry for my English

Try this app @
http://kinectar.org
Got OSC and midi mapping functions.
Not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish, but try to see if it's any use in your endeavors.

Cool
. Looks very interesting I will try it.
Also, I could finally use FAAST for what I wanted to do and it works great.
Thank you!

im trying to make the kinect work as a midi controller where different movements trigger different controls in resolume that kinectar has came in great use & has helped point me in the right direction it would be great to have a dedicated page for kinect setups

There may not be enough interest though.
Perhaps a "How to" section should be added.
I have been experimenting with Kinect for awhile and there are alot of cool stuff you can do with it.
More apps and interfaces are getting better.

I have been working with 2 kinect versions for the past 3.5 years,
I have resorted to touchdesigner piped into Arena.
