wireless projection

Post by Nazca »

Hi there! :D

First of all let me shortly introduce myself.
I'm Joost a visual artist from the Netherlands. I make experimental shortfilms, installations and create life performances with musicians and choreographers. Often I work with Resolume.
I have a background in 16mm analogue filmmaking and love mixing old and new technology.
If interested you can find some of my work on www.archefilm.nl

At the moment I'm working on a (for me) technically challenging dance production and doing research for it.
I'm new here and it is possible that this topic has been discussed before.

I have attached a mini wireless video camera on a dancer. This information I'm feeding through Resolume on a windows7 toshiba laptop. So far so good.
The next thing I want to do is to sent my output from Resolume wireless to a pico beamer (on battery) so that dancer #2 can project this image. For this second step I'm posting this message.

I will be working in different theaters and don't want to rely on wifi. I've seen different transmitters like the Teradek Bolt Pro HD-SDI Transmitter on internet. Is there somebody here who has experience with Resolume versus transmitters or who knows another solution to do a wireless output?

Looking forward to any info/help on the topic :)

Thanks & best, Joost

Hi there,
you may have a look on some drone video equipment.

The Bolt Pro 600 3G-SDI/HDMI Video Transceiver Set would work perfectly for your application but unfortunately it's not something a dancer will like to wear especially when you add the battery to it but if you afford one (~$5,500) and the dancers can dance with it look no further!
