4.2.1 Flashing
Since I installed, it flashes when opening. It hasn't affected performance at all, and doesn't do it while running, only while it opens. It doesn't matter if output is Full Screen, Advanced Output or Disabled.

What do you mean by flashing? Does the window flicker on and off? Is it the main window flashing or the output screen(s) flashing?

Main window flashes/flickerswhen opening. Cant tell if other Windows do it because they are black
Re: 4.2.1 Flashing
I experienced the main window opening, then disappearing, then opening again, with a certain version of Avast virus scanner, but that is gone now.dirtyjohn_lv wrote:Main window flashes/flickerswhen opening. Cant tell if other Windows do it because they are black
Maybe you see something similar.
I can see however the Arena windows content resizing some times while initializing.

No antivirus or anything like that installed, only network machine is connected to is Artnet - no internet access so no need for extra things like that. Only things installed are Arena, Quicktime, Java, TouchDesigner, Spout, Datapath driver and LED Manger 2012/LED Studio 10
Re: 4.2.1 Flashing
We made some changes to window initialisation on 4.2.1, among others to make sure it shows a black screen during startup, instead that nasty white one.
To be honest, a crazy amount of stuff happens behind the curtains when you enable or disable an output. You're going deep into the bowels of your graphic card at that point, and if you get a flash here and there, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
