Resolume crashing or freezing on white frame

hi, resolume keeps crashing on me and also sometimes, when i click a new clip, the output monitor just goes to white and i can no longer trigger other clips. also, when i trigger clips with certain effects, the effects don't trigger at times. i've been having problems with resolume crashing in the past, and i've checked all my files for the right format/etc beforehand and nothing seems to be the problem on my side. i suspect its a memory thing? please advise. thank you.

I have not tested on the latest version of Resolume, but on 4.1.8 I used to have this problem when I loaded pngs over about 5000px. Solved by lowering the resolution of the images loaded. I assume this happens when you exceed some memory limit.

Hey Amandatah, what you're describing sounds like it could be coming from your GPU but your post is pretty vague so why don't you gives us more details about your hardware setup and composition settings?

And be sure you run the most current version

4.2.0 of resolume.

What version of the software are you using? I'm on Arena 4.2.1 and now I have this crashing on still photos also, which is ridiculous - I can play a 19GB DXV video but I can't load a 4MB JPG photo!

It has gotten much worse with the 4.2.1 update - in the last two weeks I have had many crashes during live performances, ARGH! I haven't changed my content so it is some bug they introduced in the update.

I'm on Mac Yosemite 10.10.4

there are loads of topics, on crashing resolume, and why not use lots of jpegs.

you should convert and downsize your jpegs,pngs to short(1-5 frame) dxv
that will solve your crashing.
