Hello i have a question about the speed of the resolume. When i play a movie or an audio file resolume is slower than other software.
i play 2 mac 1 with resolume and one with ableton live. Resolume play slow .
i made some test and resolume always play slow.
in a movie or audio with 5 min resolume is 13 seconds slower than other software.
I was think if the frecuency was the problem. I set preferences in 48 khz that is the settings of the audio files but the same issue.
Can you help me because is very impkrtant for my show be in sync all the progrmas.
Thanks
My setup mac retina 16gb ram yosemite. The same with PC windows 7 .

Re: Audio speed issue
Make sure you are playing a clip in timeline mode not bpm sync. See transport and speed controls in the manual.

yes are in timeline. of course.
thanks
thanks
Re: Audio speed issue
48k, and 48k on two different machines does not always mean they play at the same rates, unless they are syncronised.
do you have dedicated sound cards, or multiple in/outputs?
you could try other software playback rates, If they produce the same results.
if they do you need hardware sync, like wordclock, or you could play an SMPTE timecode in ableton and input that to resolume.
and of course set every program to 48k. and double check in AudioMidi settings.
right click on composition speed slider resets the speed to normal, just in case, you should do that once in resolume.

Have you made sure you are using Linear PCM encoding?

yes audio is pcm linear. no compresion.
all setings in 48khz. with a native instrumentes komplete audio sound card. with the built in sound card of the mac is the same issue.

Hmmm. This is very strange. I've tried to recreate this, but for me, Live and Resolume play in perfect sync.
Here's what I've done.
Created a new project in Live, loaded a sound file, made sure warping is off.
Created a new comp in Resolume, loaded the same sound file, made sure it's on timeline.
Used a midi controller to trigger both simultaneously. They each play back in exactly the same time. I also kept a stopwatch next to them playing individually, and they both finish in exactly the same time, which is the same time as is indicated as the length of the file.
Repeated this test with both a 44.1 Khz and 48 Khz file, both Linear PCM, 16 bit . One was 3:48m, the other 6:57m.
Tried it with a buffer size in Resolume of both 32 ( the smallest I have available ) and 1024 ( the largest I have available ). On 1024, Resolume is slightly out of phase, as can be expected.
Are you absolutely positive you don't have the master speed set slightly slower than 1?

You can reset it exactly to 1 by right-clicking on it.
