4-in-1 DVR Securtiy Cam Cards
4-in-1 DVR Securtiy Cam Cards
Yello all, just wondering wether it's possible to use a 4 in 1 DVR Security Camera Capture Card to attatch 4 cameras to resolume? Are there any issues with this?
ive found that one 4 in security card, dont remember the brand, can only have 4 inputs if its in black and white, though some might be better then others.
check out how they can be accesed through the computer, also note that there are some that only let you use it through an ip address, so you have to open it in a web browser to view them

I've done some checking on these and besides propreitry drivers for their programs they don't usually have very good VFW or WDM drivers - the 2 versions of winblows capture drivers.
But most importantly they don't actually have 4 DA's - just a switching unit that allows up to 4 inputs to look like they're coming in - but instead are quickly switching between the 4 ins - this is usually why the software doesn't display full frame rate previews of the cameras.

hi guys,
if your investing in a couple of things to get camera input, you might aswell save a couple of weeks longer and buy the v4...
and if u really want to put effects on the cams input just loop it back to a tv card in your comp or something.
the resolution is very bad when u compare it to normal video and it puts a lot of strain on your computer to use a couple of live feeds.
