Crash at a specific point in my project

Post by Torjus »

Hi! I´m running a brand new specced out macbook w/ three projectors connected for a theatre play. everything runs great except that sometimes resolume hard crashes without any message or warning. it always happens at the exact same place, even down to the frame. this is the time in the project where there is video on all three screens simultaneously. I thought maybe the strain on the comp could be the case as the third layer/output kicks in, although there are several occasions later in the project where we run all three outputs without any problems whatsoever.
all clips dxv, audio separate, .wav files of both 44khz 16bit and 48khz 24bit. should all audio be the same resolution, would that help? any other suggestions?

note that this crash does not happen every single time, but often enough, and always at the exact same spot. would an overall downscaling of clips do it, to lessen the amount of information loaded in RAM? is this a problem that reflects a problem with the project (which has quite a lot of clips) or could it be specific to this one column?

hope you can help :)
thanks!

How many clips do you have in your deck?
If lots, try to split up your deck to two, that would be good for memory management.

I had problems, with dxv files that were too big resolution for my amd card (4000x1080), but that was back on 4.1.10.

which resolume version are you using?

Could you upload the appcrash report? It may be useful for debugging,
