step sequence

What I'm trying to do is play a clip but have the opacity to snap to full every 7 beats for 1 beat. Is this possible?
I have VDMX which does this using s step sequencer but when i syphon into resolume the vdmx layer to take over everything below. It works with add but vdmx sends black so vdmx layer is taking over all the time and showing black. I want to keep the clip playing so its showing random parts of the clip, I don't want it start from the beginning every time.

cosmowe made a step sequenzer inside the OSC Lemur app.

Its awsome and easy to modify but you´ll need to by lemur first.

do you need the clip take over fully when playing? of not set the layer maximum opacity to 50%. that way the black won't take over everything.

also the automask effect could be worth a try on the clip.
