i realized that the vj scene is even smaller than the c64 and demo scene combined (although they belong to eachother (c64+demo scene) ) dont you guys have competitions, meetings, parties to compete with eachothers ?!
so, when i get 100 requests to release the realtime 3d hybrid fractal, i will release it as resolume ffgl plugin:
Spack-O-Mat 100 - FFGL Hybrid Fractal burn
Re: Spack-O-Mat 100 - FFGL Hybrid Fractal burn
I wish there was more of a vibrant community. I think there are likely quite a few visualists out there but the wide range of styles, tools and professional levels means they don't have the camaraderie of more homogenous groups. Also, commercial interests means that folks might be little more protectionist. It would be nice to think that there is so much work out there that peeps are too busy to post in forums.
Don't know if this is just me but vjfx.com, vjforum.info (or com) and vjcentral.net are not up. Go figure.
Anyways, I'm always happy to try new toys so you get a vote from me.

i am going to release it anyways at some point
beside of that, i am having a bunch of plugins that cover basic effects, i think i am going to release them one after another, week by week... or month by month
if you have a certain wish let me know and furthermore i need testers, pumping out a million vertices might work on my super duper 7970 gpu but need at least to test it on nvidia environments as well
it seems reasonable to rely on external sources for visuals, but i like to have them packed in the program, setted up as simple save and load scene without much external stuff to configure, so i am going to really continue...

Did you ever release this? I would love to use it to project around some 3D printed fractals.
