DMX Mapping

Post by ASP1978 »

Hi
I am connecting a dmx desk to Resolume but I am having some problems!
I went Mapping-edit composition dmx map-right click on the red box which I wanted to dmx map-create dmx shortcut-set up which channel it should be and then mapping and stop mapping.

I set up master on dmx channel 1
layer 1 AV into dmx channel 2
layer 1 AV into dmx channel 3
layer 1 AV into dmx channel 4

I uploaded a video file on each layer and tried to trigger them via dmx.
All the AV faders was responding to the desk channels but only layer number 3 was outputting video!
When I had layer number 3 working and then bringing up fader two from the desk to control layer two, as soon as I was activating it it would go to fade out and bring layer three to fade out too.

Any idea why this is happening?

Make sure you uncheck [DMX Auto Map], otherwise DMX Channels 1 through 4 control respectively Master, Bypass, Clear and Crossfade. With DMX you can control multiple attributes with the same channel so you've added new attribute to control but not removed the old attributes.
