Windows 10 +R5 / R4, will crash when 2nd Screen is activated

We found the reason for the issues with MSI laptops.

It turns out Resolume was hanging on a little sound effect utility called 'Nahimic' that MSI adds to their laptops. This utility is meant 'to enhance the sound experience'.

Apparently, it's also causing problems with running Unity on MSI laptops: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=258601.0

It's their own utility and doesn't do anything to enhance the sound when using Resolume, so we recommend to just uninstall it.

You could of course also write to MSI to ask them to update this utility.

Either way, disable it and Resolume will be flying on your MSI laptop!

I got an MSI GT72 with Windows 10 for X-Mass and got off the train with it to go straight to a New Years Eve VJ Performance and I couldn't do dual screens!

It doesn't matter now if there's a fix, the MSI GT72 f&$ked-up my gig hardcore!

It's OK though, instead of VJing with dual screens, I did a really good job a mapping my Behringer CMD LC-1 midi controller and I was able to VJ with a cloned screen and I just jammed on the midi controller all night.

Midi controllers are great too cause this really cute girl at the party was attracted to the light up buttons and I let her press them all night.

Have you made sure your Desktop Scaling is set to 100% ?

Yes scaling is 100%

But its working now. I uninstalled all of ASUS bloatware and fullscreen working,

I suspect their video enhancment software... forgot the name of it

Hello everybody,

had the same crash at the worst time ever, i'm on a rog g752 as well, but with a GTX970.

n0s0ul333, could you explain a bit more which asus sofwares you uninstalled for it to be all right?
There was a windows update the day before, i tried to uninstall it but nothing changed!
Also the crash occured when i tried to connect my vga proj for the fist time on this pc (via a thunderbolt2vga adapter)

I really don't know what to do next !

Does anyone has a solution to this? i have an ASUS Rog g752 gtx1060 and resolume keeps crashing when display 2.

hell i cant work... 2 or 3 years with the same probelm and no one can give a solution? (Sorry for my frustration)
