fullscreen on secondary monitor when projector turns off on

Post by n0s0ul333 »

Hi all,

Is there a way to keep the fullscreen output enabled when the projector turns on and off.
I noticed that whenever I powercycle the projector it looses the fullscreen output since windows no longer have a secondary monitor. This is a problem for installations where the projector is on a on off timer.

Is there a workaround in resolume or windows10 ?

If you need to switch off your projector for a short time, can it be more simply to send black screen to it?

If you need to switch off your projector for a long time, I think, you can use EDID manager (actually I never used any, but think, that this device is suitable for you), or splitter.

So, you needed to solve this problem on hardware level.

Depending on budget and distance you could also use a hdmi over single cat extender. That would give its own edid to the computer.
