Ps; I try to extend the screen but i have only 2 screen, never 4 and that's don't work.

need solution with resolume and datapath
Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
Datapath takes one image, then divides it into four parts and send each part to corresponding DVI output. So, if you want connect 4 FHD projectors you need 3840x2160 datapath resolution, and set regions (there is button Quarter, which you need).
Also if you using hdmi-DVI cable, you need to set display frequency somewhere between 15-30 Hz when you configuring your datapath.

Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
thanks for your answer.
Now, I have a picture on my 4 projectors...great
I just join the print screen of the datapath configuration for take a look and tell me if that's correct.ù
but my last problem is in Resolume advanced output, because i have only one display ? and not 4 like I need.
and I can make the setting with slice and choice the different display for have different video on each projector.
I don't know what's wrong ? can you tell me..
thanks a lot for your help.

Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
It's OK that you have only one display in Resolume Advanced Output. That's how datapatch works.
Btw, if you want to have 4 screens in advanced output just, make 4 virtual outputs (1920x1080), then make 4 slices for each quarter in datapath screen, and set slice input source to your virtual screens.
Also click "Modify" button in Input Capture Region group, then click "Quarter" button in pop-up window, it will automatically split all space of datapath canvas into 4 parts. At now it takes upper-left part of canvas for all outputs.

Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
with quarter , he split automaticly but in 960x540
hooo damn I believe I can see 4 ''real'' screen directly.. when I make 4 virtual screen , I make a mapping on the second, but I see the mapping on all or on no one..
how resolume can know what virtual screen is ? second projector or first ...
thanks again to take time for me

Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
When you change edid, you need plug datapath out and in in your dvi/hdmi port. When you see, that current mode is equals edid mode, make regions quarter.
Resolume doesn't know anything about how datapath split image, it's your business to select which part of image sends on which dvi output of datapath.
If you look on region properties, you'll see 0x0, 1920x1080 in your case. It means, that region takes 1920x1080 image from point 0x0 on image, which you send to datapath input. So, while all your regions are the same, it will show same image on all outputs.

Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
You most likely will not be able to give your laptop with 4K resolution, because videocard is poor... If you want split 1920*1080 then setting: 1 region 0*0 960*540 2 region 960*0 1920*540 3 region 0*540 960*1080 4 region 960*540 1920*1080. Monitor outputs then 960*540 50 or 60hz for all outputs
Re: need solution with resolume and datapath
I just read through this thread and there is some confusing information being disseminated!
Using the Datapath X4 should be pretty straight forward. All you need to do is have one screen and 4 slices. If you split your screen in 4 equal quarter slices (top left, top right, bottom right and bottom left) then all you have to do is split the X4 in 4 equal quarters as well and you'll have four different screens to work with.

I frequently use 1 or 2 Datapath X4 units with a macbook pro and even though you really can't output many layers of 4K/8K, it works fine. Take a look at this post.vj_owl wrote:You most likely will not be able to give your laptop with 4K resolution, because videocard is poor...

Yes is work fine, because all outputs macbookpro 2013 is real dual link DVI, but cheap pc laptop usually isn't dual link output...I frequently use 1 or 2 Datapath X4 units with a macbook pro and even though you really can't output many layers of 4K/8K, it works fine. Take a look at this post.
