I would like to present an idea for a new window layout
where both output monitor and preview monitor could be collapsed to give the effects and browser a lot more space if needed,
while having more layers visible at once.

Re: new window layout
I love this look. Not having a controller, I have often though about a better screen layout for only using a mouse. I think you have it.

Several output monitors.
Each connected projector / monitor has its own standby mode.
Up to max. 8 monitors, plus a master output monitor.

@ravensc at what point in the night does the mariof**k clip hit the screen?
like the window layout idea though. [edit: provided the Comp/Layer/Clip panel headers are MIDI-mappable]

Re: new window layout
ravensc, I always asked myself why the main scheme isn't as your picture.
Maybe a 2 panels instead of one to show clip and layer, as in default.
But yes! we need to see more layers and have some better control over the monitor size!
I think thats the best possible configuration.
