network streaming

Post by fridgehead »

i was wondering, now that res2 has network output support (handy dandy it is too), will you be releasing specs for the network streams? I'd love to be able to add support to my own apps for res input or (even better) allow other apps (anyone played with VVVV?) to play into res 2

that would rock!

i'm intending to release a free frame plugin which supports the vidnet standard before the end of the year. :D

keep an eye on http://www.inside-us-all.com

if any developers want to discuss implementing the standard drop me a line on dave#inside-us-all.com

fantastic!

My cunning plan for a setup is to use an oldish (700mhz or so) laptop running res2 connected to my uc-33 - this will be my "mixer", using nothing but the vidnet side of things

then i want to connect vvvv to it as a pattern generator. Of course, i need a way to connect this to vidnet, but hey....

it'd be nice to have a purely digital system going (right up until the beamer, that is)

yep that was my motivation for this technology, to keep the system fully digital right to the projector.

i'm sick of that analogue look :)
