3 panels option no longer happening...

Hi there.. last week i selected 1 panel no browser to maximise the output monitor temporarily and after when i tried to go back it would only go to 2 panel, three panel does not work. Unfortunately it isnt showing layer in the main panel either, so it is currently impossible to see layer effects etc. Challenging, i've done two shows like that but tomorrow i am away and its intern time.. would really like to figure this out! Does anyone have any experience like this or ideas to solve.. guessing a reinstall would fix it but if can avoid that would be great, cheers.

Running Res5.01 on win 8 with nvidia 980ti running 2 datapaths going to 6 1920x1080 projectors...

there is a "Show layer property panel " switch in View, make sure it's checked
