update Benchmark table with more data

Post by rbhun »

hi

after spending some days I have realized the Benchmark, while a very cool idea, is missing some crucial info
can I ask to add the following:

-OS version (simply w or OSX is not enough anymore)
-Resolume version (must make some difference..)
-motherboard (not that important, but maybe give others a good idea
-GPU2 (for multi GPU systems, this can be important)
-Note (something to note, like it was instable, or we had to do this and this...)

I am now running several benchmarks and have to add data in the first field..may clutter up the table..sorry about that, but I think its interesting for people..

Oaktown is pretty much the unofficial boss of the benchmark test. If he adds a column called 'jump', I fill it in with 'how high?'.

take a look at this form and give me feedback.

I didn't add a question for version because I think everyone should always be running the most recent official version.

Looks great, Oaktown!
I'd definitely add OS version. Some machines work better on older Windows.

And while I agree that in an ideal world everybody should be on the latest version, people don't always upgrade, and some upgrades break things that can affect performance. Right now we have bugs in 5.0.2 we don't encounter in 5.0.0.

@rbhun I agree with Oaktown that the benchmark can assume to run the latest version. Between updates, there shouldn't be anything that can critically impact performance.

If you feel you're experiencing bugs in 5.0.2, we'd very much like to know about them. If you haven't done so already, please make a new thread or contact us directly at mail@resolume.com.

@Oaktown I've set a few questions to non-required. Aside from that, awesome and quick work. Thanks a lot!

Thanks. OS version was in there but I went back and aggregated the two questions into one and added "other" just in case to keep simple.

If you're using anything besides the most recent version of Resolume, put it in the add'l notes.

Tweak it as you see fit! And you're welcome :D
