Resolume arena 5 output problem

Post by GUNDUDE500 »

I tried to hooked up a projector to my laptop through a vga connection but since i dont have a vga port on my laptop, i added "t-tec USB display adapter" so i can hook up the projector via USB port. Everything seem to work. For example : i can do presentations and stuff, but when i tried to select output 2 in resolume arena 5, nothing happens //No crashes or errors.

Laptop : msi gs60 6qe (NAHIMIC disabled)
OS : windows 10
Adapter : http://www.i-tec-europe.eu/?t=3&v=130
Projector : http://www.hitachidigitalmedia.com/en-g ... cp-cw300wn

I've seen that USB video adapters can be very finnicky with Resolume in general. My initial thoughts are:

- make sure your driver for the USB adapter is up to date, as is Resolume version
- test out an HDMI -> VGA or MiniDP -> adapter if possible (ACTIVE adapters)
- contact the manufacturers T-Tec and see if this external video card supports OpenGL specifically. It's not often mentioned in tech specs, but without OpenGL support, I don't think Resolume can send any textures to the external card. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Hope you find a solution!
