res2 beta2 multimonitor problems

i've got a laptop that i'm trying to get the multimonitor stuff working on. Its got an ATI mobility 3 graphics card (not wonderful, but this is just a test machine) with an s-video output.

I can clone the laptop screen to the tv, and extend my desktop onto the tv as well. Problem is, i cant use the multimonitor stuff in res2 because its not detecting the second monitor. all i get is the "dvd-max" stuff as the second screen (which doesnt work)..

i read that you dont support an extended desktop system anymore (like the one in res1.51), which is a pain...

any ideas why its not detecting it?
Its running xppro sp1 if that helps

hi fridgehead

you shouldn't set the it to clone.
make sure you have two independent screens, so choose 'extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor' for your second screen.

done that. it extends nicely but the res2 interface spans between the two desktops

its treating it as one giant monitor, which is a pain

try not to use spam.. if you can't set to dualview or something like that, where windows can see the 2 outputs as 2 diferent monitor then you can set the second output in resolume, if you can only set the 2 out's as one big monitor then it won't work
