Change Default Layer Transparency Setting

How can I change the Default Layer Transparency Setting.

Right now when I create a new layer it is always by default "Add" and I want it to be "50 Add". Also its at 50% transparency.

For what I do I am always adding layers on the fly and am working with lots of layers at 50 Add. Having to change each layer as I create it is time consuming, likewise the transparency.

Would be so much easier if I can change the default state of a new layer. Surely there is way to change the default in a .avc file.

When responding can you tell me which file exactly I need to change also.

as far as I know, you can't change the defaults for layers,
but what you could do is keep an empty layer, with your desired settings and instead of creating a new layer you could duplicate the empty one.
