I am still considering the new amd r9 m370x card vs my current macbook with the gt750m. Does Arena work well with this now? If so, it's time for a full upgrade.

I wouldn't buy a new Mac laptop right now since they're going to be releasing the new model soon.
We still use our MacBook Pros with Nvidia GPUs and I really don't look forward to upgrading to the ones with AMD GPUs!

The low fps issues have been resolved.
In general, the AMD drivers on Mac are a lot more reliable than their PC versions. I agree with Oaktown though that an upgrade is not a good idea at the moment. If you take a look at the benchmarks for your MBP vs the newer one, the difference is not that much.
