Hi,
I am using Avenue with MadMapper and Mapio to switch between maps on the fly (ex: map whole image across all screens to using each screen as a discreet monitor or clone mode), but I notice that there is a frame or 2 lost and I like to have it in real time. Can you add a way to smoothly fade or just cut between mappings? That would be my reason to finally upgrade to Arena.
Thanks for making such a great software! I have been using it for years and rarely a crash. Delay RGB does not like large canvas size but otherwise I am hard pressed to make it crash.
Cheers,
Boris
Map Switching via Midi in Arena
Re: Map Switching via Midi in Arena
mapio should have an ffgl plugin which you can use as an effect in resolume.
use it on a layer router and another with a different map set and you'll be able to fade between the presets, and map the layer routers to midi osc dmx and keyboard.
in arena using layer routers on different layers, then using the layers as input for slices you should be able to fade between presets.

Re: Map Switching via Midi in Arena
I am familiar and use mapio per layer, but it is not as fast as Resolume's native mapper. A few frames are noticeable lag so I am trying to eliminate that. Madmapper has a list of presets that are midi mappable but it lags a few frames behind too. I can keep using these tools but it would be great to have that feature in Arena.

are you using live cameras?
if not and you are playing videos with audio, you can add delay to the audio in preferences to keep your videos and audio in sync.

Re: Map Switching via Midi in Arena
here is a quick video on how to "switch mapping presets" in arena with layer routers and layers routed to slices.
You can add as many slices as you need, just set the input to the correct layer and activate the layer router in that slice.
