Hi,
I've been looking around for the best soft & hardware to use for my new club setup.
I want to be able to control visuals, digital led strips and dmx controlled lights.
I think I should be able to do this with resolume.. but i'm not sure about how the dmx part of the software works.
would I be able to create fixtures to control movingheads, strobes and lasers? and make them react on audio?
And would I need the prescribed gaming rig (recommended specs) to do so?
best,
Julien
New Club setup
Re: New Club setup
Resolume is not the optimal solution for controlling moving heads at all. You should be using a lighting board for lights and Resolume for video and pixel mapping.Julienvroling wrote:Hi,

You can do it, but its not a great solution.

Hey Julien, take a look at this post by Ravensc for a solution to control moving heads: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12513#p51088
If you want to control everything with a computer, I would recommend you look into a lighting control software such as Enttec D-Pro.
I have not had a chance to test it but I do believe that you should be able to control color using pixel-mapping in Resolume and pan/tilt in D-Pro of a fixture from the same computer if you leave the fixture's RGB channel at 0 in D-Pro.

Re: New Club setup
yes that should work, if the fixture is set to HTP merging.Oaktown wrote: I have not had a chance to test it but I do believe that you should be able to control color using pixel-mapping in Resolume and pan/tilt in D-Pro of a fixture from the same computer if you leave the fixture's RGB channel at 0 in D-Pro.
you also need to keep the pan/tilt and other control channels of the fixture empty in resolume if youth choose this solution.
