Hello everyone.
I pretty much just installed Resolume Avenue 4 to check it out, and I've found my way around the whole keyboard mapping thing, but I've ran into trouble: the keyboard shortcuts only work when the Resolume window is active, and I need it to work while I'm on another app, which runs in fullscreen.
Is there any way to make the keyboard shortcuts work when the Resolume window is not active?
Thanks!
Global keyboard shortcurts
Re: Global keyboard shortcurts
Someone on the forum might have a solution for you but I don't believe that you can do that!
My advice to you is to buy a cheap MIDI controller and map it to control your comp in Resolume. That way you'll be able to access your shortcuts (MIDI map) when Resolume is not in focus.

Yeah I thought about MIDI, but the problem is that my whole setup can't really have additional hardware.Oaktown wrote:Someone on the forum might have a solution for you but I don't believe that you can do that!

The idea is to have an interactive touchscreen totem (such as this) triggering certain videos on an LED panel. Our LED supplier works with Resolume, which is why I installed it so I could have a better understanding of how this thing is going to work.
The totem's app developer said they can send global keyboard shortcuts, which could trigger Resolume, hence the need for shortcuts to work when Resolume is not in focus.
Does OSC have anything to do with this? I've started to read about it but I have yet to figure out what exactly it is and how it works. From what I've read so far, I think that maybe the totem app could send an OSC command directly to Resolume.
Thanks!
