I recently started having a major issue with Resolume on my PC. I can't upload a clip without the software completely freezing. I didn't start having this problem until I installed a new graphics card, so that probably has something to do with it; I'm just not able to figure out what.
Here's what the issue is step-by-step:
1. Open Resolume
2. I try and drag and drop a clip onto the deck
3. As soon as I drop a clip on the deck, the loading wheel starts turning and nothing happens. When I click anywhere on the software, it completely freezes and I have to close it from the Task Manager
I've already tried moving the config.xml; file from the Resolume folder, and that solved the freezing problem, but now the clip doesn't load at all. The loading wheel turns for a few seconds then it stops and nothing was loaded.
OS and Software Version: Windows 10, Resolume Arena v 5.0.4
Graphics cards: GTX 1080 (this is the new one I just installed; I didn't start having this issue until I put this graphics card in) and GTX 980 TI
File Type: I only use .mov clips, but I tried converting them to .dxv and it still doesn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Arena 5 stopped importing clips
Re: Arena 5 stopped importing clips
Run DDU before reinstalling the new drivers for the 1080.
Re: Arena 5 stopped importing clips
Congrats on the new 1080! It's doubtful that a problem with loading clips has to do with your new GPU. Loading a clip happens on the OS and memory level, the GPU is not accessed during this action.
In the log that you sent via mail, I noticed you are trying to load Quicktime files (I can't see the codec, but it's not DXV), and you don't have Quicktime installed. I suggest to install Quicktime and then give it another go.
Also, you can always try to load the example files that come with the software (C:\Program Files (x86)\Resolume Arena 5.x\media\shop). This is a great way to test if the loading problem is file related or not.

Re: Arena 5 stopped importing clips
Wow it fixed it. something was wrong with QuickTime and I had to delete and then reinstall it. Now all my clips work great. I recently discovered DXV and I'm going to convert all my files to that but up until now I used .mov files and it worked fine. Anyways thanks for the help!
