Arena 5 Crashing!!! HELP

Post by markmunsonjr »

So I'm very new to Resolume and I'm trying to create visuals for shows. I am a digital artist trying to use his work for visuals with effects over them. Whenever I add up to 6 pictures filling the first 6 slots on the deck, Resolume Arena 5 crashes on me. I just spent $900 on this program and I need it to work for me. Any tips or tricks to help me? I'm currently watching the tutorials but they don't cover this issue. SOMEBODY HELP!

Can you give us more info about your setup, composition size and the type & size of media you're using?

I attached my Macbook Pro's specs... besides that I'm using a Akai APC 40 for my MIDI mapping and my files that i'm using for visuals are just stagnant images with effects over them. Simple jpegs from photoshop.

Try converting those jpegs to dxv.

isn't a DXV file a video file made from the software provided by Resolume? If so, how do I convert from .jpeg to .dxv? Again, I'm a beginner at this so please have some patience with me

Do you have a video format converter program like adobe media encoder or mpeg streamclip?
With the converter you can convert the jpg files to quicktime video format, then choose dxv as encoding for the video stream. you even can set the fps to 1 and the duration to a minimal value, for a nice small file.
Then when you import your files you can pause them all.

I was also facing the same problem. Best solution is to switch to 5.1 and finish your present project
